Mulveys Male Gaze theory is that of a simple one as it's main point is that women are used in the media to be used to attract the gaze of the male audience, for example within films such as the bond series, Bond always has an attractive female companion to be used as a wow factor to appeal to the idea of men just wanting to see attractive women on their screens.
In the movie 'Wolf of Wall Street' we can see perfect examples arguing for the Male Gaze theory, as in one scene in particular where our main character Jordan goes to Naomi's house, she returns after being away for a short amount of time almost naked fully presenting herself to the camera. This is done through the use of a long shot, which was purely used to show off her body so we can see a lot more than a mid or close up shot. The mise-en-scene was also set up to show off her body as she is stood center of the frame so that our eyes are immediately fixed to her when she appears on camera, and also she is double framed, positioned within the center of the double doors she emerges from so again our eyes are trained already to that spot for her to appear grabbing that male attention.
